Jack Swinney completed his undergraduate degree in Medical Laboratory Science at Griffith University, earning multiple academic excellence awards. His extensive experience at the Gold Coast University Hospital pathology laboratory has led to a deep appreciation of the academic and practical understanding of pathology. After graduating, Jack hopes to become a pathologist, focussing on Hematology and/or Microbiology.

Before diving into medicine, I studied Medical Laboratory Science at Griffith University. After graduating, I spent a year working as a scientist with Queensland Pathology, where I got hands-on experience in laboratory medicine and diagnostics. I want to connect the dots between laboratory medicine and clinical practice to improve patient care. When I’m not studying, you’ll find me hiking or running to clear my head and stay active.

Bella earned her undergraduate degree in Biochemistry and Nutrition, with a minor in Philosophy, from the University of Miami. She spent three years conducting research on the histopathology of traumatic brain injury. In her free time, Bella enjoys traveling, exercising, and spending time at the beach.

Hi, I’m Pooja! I’m a first-year medical student who loves pathology. I did my undergrad in  Molecular Biology and Genetics at McMaster University in Canada. Outside of academics, I love running, baking, and watching TV shows.

Catherine is a second-year medical student with a background in research and a keen interest in the investigative and diagnostic aspects of pathology. In her spare time, she enjoys playing games, watching TV shows, and reading.

Harley fell in love with pathology while working for a small pathology clinic while earning his master's degree. The challenge and science involved in diagnosing cases while working with other physicians solidified his passion for medicine. In his free time, Harley enjoys spending time with his wife and two daughters, making music, weightlifting, and playing lacrosse.

​Hi I’m Chamika a 1st year MD student from Bundaberg. I am part of the first cohort of the regional medical pathway with CQU and UQ. In my spare time I play a lot of cricket and futsal. I’m very keen to bring in regional students into UQ path!

Hi, I’m Niranjana, a first year MD student from Rockhampton. I was fortunate enough to be apart of the first cohort of the Regional Medical Pathway program with CQU and UQ. I am looking forward to working with the Pathology group and represent the regional students. When I’m not studying, I love spending time with my friends and going to the gym!
